rain forest is as if the lungs of the earth.they prevent huge soil erosion,maintain oxygen and carbon di oxide balance,as they absorb enormous amount of crbon di oxide that they maintain the evapotranspiration balance and there by has tremendous effect on the world environment.these forests are dominated by plants of K strategies,and prevent earth from desertification.and thus helps in cyclization of mineral salts.
