Ladies...Do you find that you get inferior medical treatment compared to your spouse?

I agree 100% that Dr's do not give women the same treatment as men. I have had to have a double fusion in my spine and am now a "failed back" patient as it did not stop the problem or the pain. I have to fight, kick, claw and scratch just to get to the pain management (I have to get a referral from my primary every 3rd visit for this). My husband strained his back and they put him on morphene, percocet and took him off work for three months with follow up's to the Dr every week! I sure wished I understood why the mentality is like that for women - we suffer needlessly for no apparant reason. If you guys get an answer that would help in the matter please post it for the rest of us!
