Can I warm up my dogs food with her metal food bowl dish on a gas stovetop.Please read my question.?

My dogs food was outside and she had chicken broth with it and it is now frozen.How do I warm it up for her?Her food is in a metal dog bowl so I definatley can't microwave it but could I warm it up on my gas stovetop?Please answer!!!!!!!!!!
