What do you think I should do?

Im in 9th grade, and I've had this crush on a guy for three years, since seventh grade. He's nice, smart, sweet, and (attempts) to be funny :) We used to be great friends, we'd talk a lot and joke around...but ever since ninth grade started we haven't talked at all...Im still great friends with all of my other guy friends, just not him. In fact, some of my guy friends are HIS friends too!!! We just dont talk any more, i dont know why, but i still really like him, i couldn't even imagine liking another guy. We have talked once or twice this year, and he was still the same guy from last year....im just so confused, i wish we could go back to the way we were. A girl that hates me made things worse by spreading a rumor that i liked him, and that made it more awkward between us. She openly flirts with him all the time, follows him to/from cl, and is really obnoxious. He doesn't like her because of how blatant/obnoxious she is, but doesn't really turn her away because its really not worth his time to put up a fight, because she'd just come running back. Any advice on what i should do? I really dont want to move on...because its just a crush...
