My Dead Dog's Replacement?

So recently, my 9 year old dog Puck, who I got when I was 8, died of a heart attack. It was very saddening for me and my mom, but after a week my depression went away, and I was feeling better, and ready to continue living normally. Well about a day ago, my mom came home with a new dog, True, who's only 8months old...and he kinda just seems like a replacement. My dog Puck was a Siberian Husky, and True is too...and it hasn't even been a month since Puck died. Usually when I see True it reminds me of Puck, which has made me pretty depressed this weekend...and True just seems like a replacement. I don't know, how should I feel...am I being insensitive to my mom's needs for a new pet? What should I do?
